Paracord Camera Neck Strap

Step 1: Gather Your Materials

Camera

2 findings (Which can be found at Hobby Lobby) You can also use small key rings.

2 carabiners (Also found at Hobby Lobby)

Paracord (I went with solid black for the main part and a green and black speck for the neck part) The length will vary to your preference.
Step 2: Attaching the Findings

After removing the neck strap that came with my camera, I used the strap lugs to hold the findings.

Step 3:

Then I clipped on the carabiner to the finding. I found green colored ones to match the neck part of the strap.

Step 4: Starting Your Neck Strap

On one end, I looped the paracord to the carabiner. Then I ran the other end through the other carabiner and placed it on my neck, to measure how long I wanted to strap to be.
Once I figured that out, I started the cobra knot and went up 1/3 of the strap. Because I started this with some scrap paracord, that's as far as I got.
Step 5:Then I started the "neck pad" portion of the strap. I just continued the cobra knot, tucking in the strands of the black paracord.
Because I used a scrap piece to start with and only got 1/3 of the way, I had to start the other side with another pice of black paracord. I started by slipping through the loop attached to the carabiner. Then, I continued on making the cobra knot until I reach 1/3 of the way up, cutting the paracord so I would have some left to tuck into the neck pad portion.
Step 6: Finishing the Neck Strap

After reaching the end of the of the strap with the green paracord, I doubled back on the pad part of the strap creating the king cobra knot.
Once I finished the neck pad, I placed a fid to the end of the paracord so I could stitch the ends into the neck pad giving it a clean look, rather than burning the ends and possibly have it chaffing on my neck.

This being my first instructable, I hope it was easy to follow and helpful to those who wish to make one of these.
